We are a dynamic company of experienced professionals working closely with the public and private sectors. We have expertise in the fields of asbestos project management; asbestos policy development; building surveys to MDHS100 (for identification of asbestos); asbestos registers; asbestos site auditing; asbestos training and asbestos databases.
ABP are able to provide complete asbestos project management from preparing a company asbestos policy to carrying out the asbestos survey and compiling the resulting asbestos register possibly in the form of a unique asbestos database. At this stage ABP can prepare the asbestos management plan which may entail asbestos re-inspection surveys at regular intervals to monitor the condition and accessibility of the asbestos materials found in the initial survey. Alternatively, the asbestos found may require remediation or removal in which case ABP can prepare a method statement and specification for these works and organise the tendering procedure and supervision.
We provide a wide range of asbestos training courses such as general half day asbestos awareness seminars which give a general overview of what asbestos is, where it is found in buildings and what to do should you suspect asbestos is present in your building. We are also course providers for the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) asbestos proficiency modules (P401, P402,P404R Type 3, P403, P404, P405, P406 and P406R). These are recognised professional qualifications within the health and safety industry. ABP also provide the BOHS with practical assessors for the asbestos proficiency module examinations. We shall also be providing the National Individual Asbestos Certification Scheme (NIACS) asbestos training courses which are recognised by the RICS and RSPH.

All surveyors have the BOHS P402 module “Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos “ (or equivalent) and are trained to carry out surveys in accordance with the HSE guidance MDHS 100 and ABP’s inspection body accreditation.
Our asbestos databases are designed specifically for each client and incorporate digital images
and CAD drawings. These databases can either be updated by ABP or training can be given in order that our clients can maintain their own database.
We are based in Southampton but have a client base covering the whole of the UK and aim to provide practical and effective guidance to our clients in the management of their buildings with regards to asbestos as well as other health and safety issues.
