Asbestos Re-inspection Surveys

Asbestos Re-inspection Surveys

ABP Associates are accredited by UKAS to carry out Asbestos re-inspection surveys.

What is a Re-Inspection Survey?

A re-inspection survey can only be conducted after a management survey or a refurbishment survey has been carried out.

Once the initial survey has been conducted and asbestos-containing materials have been identified, a management plan should be drawn up. The plan may recommend that the ACMs are left where they are because they present a low risk; either because they are in good condition or are relatively inaccessible. The management plan would then recommend that these materials are monitored for damage or deterioration. The monitoring may take place in the form of re-inspection surveys at regular intervals. Such surveys include a visual inspection of the asbestos material and a new risk assessment to determine any further action which may be required.
